CNN interview:

From a relaxed pre-interview and a half-hour on-camera interview, this short edit was aired in October 2011 on the Southern California CNN cable network.

Click this panel to view the interview on our “Media” page.

Overview:

First are just a few stills of our various events, shot by Terry Wilson, Sally Benson, Alexis Williams, Dave Brain, Jasmine Silva, Kryzzalia Lopez, and Tee Bosustow, highlights from the Dukes Malibu Kick-off party, the Festival program events, and the free Animation Studio Tours.
Duke Malibu:

Here’s a few photos from our Kick-Off party to celebrate the third year of our festival and feedback project.
Woodbury:

Woodbury University's Theater lobby and patio were the places where festival goers met to chat between programs, buy autographed animation books, draw on the paper table covers, and, of course, eat.
Festival Programs:

Inside the theater the highlight for many were the actual programs by animation professionals, 14 programs this year, including; 25 Years of Pixar Shorts, Award Winning Animation from India, OMG, It’s Godfrey (a tribute to Bob Godfrey, DreamWorks’ “after-hours Moonshine book, Rare TV Promos presented from the UCLA Film Archives, Feature Effects presented by Gnomon Workshop, Magoo Makes News thanks to Sony Pictures, our annual Winners’ Circle, with AniMazSpot 2010 winners, and a live demonstration of how to produce your own stop-motion animation on a shoestring. There were also 3 screenings of
the nominated shorts in a dozen categories, and finally the Awards Ceremony culminating in the Bozu Bronze trophy going to the Best of Festival winner.
Free Tours:

A new addition to the AniMazSpot festival program, the tours seem like a natual for such a huge animation community. This year we started with tours of Disney, Nickelodeon, The Simpsons, Pantomime, Gnomon, Woodbury, and Disney ARL, the research library on the glendale lot.
