We’re up in the SF Bay Area, gathering interviews for the podcast; Andrew Stanton (pictured here with his Wall•E storyboard), Brad Bird, Lou Romano, Jim Capobianca, Mark Walsh, Andy Beall, and Joe Sikoriak. All were great, and when we return next week, we will start adding them to our shows, so stay tooned. In answer to your latest questions … we have an additional 40+ interviews completed, that we hope to have up on the site within the next few weeks, or so.
Then, we are no longer a broadcast radio show, you can listen to the show on this site (Episode Archive/Listen In!) or through iTunes.
And, finally, the site should be finalized later this month, for the exception of interviews, which will continue to be added each week. Let us know what works for you and/or what doesn’t.
We’re excited about our new site, which is still being updated. We hope to have the site completely in full running order with about 30 interviews, perhaps more, up and running by the end of the month, and another 30 by the end of April … if all goes well.
The interviews we’ve completed but have yet to put up on the site include … Sharon Colman, Jules Engel, John Weldon, Gene Deitch, Derek Lamb, Yossi Abolafia, Mikhail Aldashin, Marcus Magalhães, Kai Pindal, Borivoj “Bordo” Dovnikovic, Steve Worth, Terry Wilson, Simon J. Smith, Dave Hilberman, Jimi Muracami, Steve Stanchfield, Bill Melendez, Michael Sporn, Kirk Kelley, and Adam Snyder, and many more, both already recorded, and soon to be recorded.
“Inside UPA” is at the binder’s as we write this, so it should be out by early October, and ready to ship. We have started lining up UPA veterans to sign the signature card, in LA, SF, and NY, so those copies should be ready by the end of October. We have 6 of the 50 signed copies left, and 704 of the 1,000 unsigned copies. Plus, a number of you have been purchasing pre-sales of the book through www.upapix.com site, and adding the UPA Tribute DVD to your shopping cart. You can reserve your advanced copy(s) there, with the DVD, or just a book(s) right here … (click here to go into the Toon In Store).
